About Shea Engineering

Shea Engineering Services works with suppliers to the electronics industry to provide top quality technical advice, support and documentation for their products. We combine extensive hand-on engineering experience with a sharp, clear communication style. Our services include ghost writing, presentation creation, training program development and general consulting.

Company History

Shea Engineering Services, Incorporated is located in Burlington, NJ. It was started in July, 2008, by Chrys Shea and is about to enter its tenth year.



Prior to launching Shea Engineering Services, Chrys Shea spent nearly 20 years working in various process engineering and management roles for Compaq Computer, Texas Instruments, Siemens, Motorola and Cookson Electronics.

Chrys began publishing her research on wave soldering in 1998. Her work has spanned a wide range of SMT and wave soldering topics, with current emphasis on stencil printing and miniaturization. With over 300 international publications and/or presentations to her credit, she is well known for her clear communication style and the consistent quality of her work.

Chrys is a frequent speaker at industry events, and received the SMTAI "Best of Conference" award for her work on solder paste printing - three times! 

In 2012 she was honored with the SMTA "Member of Technical Distinction" award.

Chrys earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and her M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and after 20 years in the industry, launched Shea Engineering Services in 2008.
